Outstanding October

October...  ahh Fall my absolute favorite time of year!  Laurel started off with a bang, she took three steps on the 4th of the month.  Then on the 8th she said Papa and walked from the little kitchen table to the fridge!  We visited a corn maze just the other side of the KY river from where we live.

The second weekend we all drove up to Cinncinati for Aunt Brooklyn's 30th Birthday Bash.

And October is not finished until we take our annual "pilgrimage" up to LeConte Lodge.  Poppi, Nonni, Pawpaw, Uncle James, Aunt Gretch, and several other friends and family took the trek up the mountains.  The grandparents and the three of us took the Boulevard Trail.  The longest of all the trails leading up to LeConte but less steep than the others.  I had intended to carry the bag with all of our stuff in it, but Laurel was actually lighter...  so I traded with Todd.  She slept most of the way up and then was up all night long :)  Oh the joys of being a parent sometimes right?  Todd, Laurel, and myself hung out in the lodge much of that night so we did not keep up the whole cabin.  After LeConte we headed to the cabin for the rest of the weekend. As soon as we got back home her bottom 2nd right tooth popped through.

After all this, we still were not done having fun!  Laurel had her first Halloween experience and she was the cutest otter I have ever seen.  The only candy we picked up was a twizzler, and she loved every bite.  Oh, and someone discovered their love of barbeque sauce...
